Jones Lang LaSalle Expands Mexican Operations with New Tijuana Industrial Operations led by Vince Roché

Firm continues to grow in Mexico with new office and key industry hire

TIJUANA, MEXICO, Mar 2, 2011 — Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that it is continuing to grow its full service commercial real estate operation in Mexico with the opening of a new office in Tijuana, Mexico.  The Tijuana office will be part of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Northern Mexico operations and will serve the Northwest markets of the country.

“Jones Lang LaSalle is growing rapidly in Mexico, and it is important for us to have a presence in Tijuana given its stature as a major industrial hub,” said Javier Llaca, Executive Vice President of Jones Lang LaSalle in Mexico. “We expect the Tijuana office to have an intensive cross-border interaction with the firm’s existing practice in San Diego and Southern California areas to better service our clients.”

The firm has hired industry veteran Vince Roché to lead the Tijuana operation as part of the Corporate Industrial Solutions team. Vince brings 12 years of commercial real estate experience to Jones Lang LaSalle with a proven track record of industrial and real estate brokerage in Mexico. Vince comes to Jones Lang LaSalle from CB Richard Ellis.

Vince graduated from California State University at San Diego, and is an active member of the Economic and Industrial Development of Tijuana Association (DEITAC), and the Western Maquiladora Trade Association (WMTA).

“Tijuana is a key market to Mexico and Southern California as it operates a significant portion of the region’s industrial activity” said Roché. “I am excited to be part of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Mexico growth strategy, and look forward to seeing further development in this vital market.”

“Jones Lang LaSalle’s expansion into Tijuana is a move that will strengthen our existing leadership position throughout Latin America,” said Pedro Azcue, Chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle Latin America. “Last year, we completed a significant amount of  industrial transactions in Latin America and we seek to broaden our market share with this expansion into Tijuana, which is one of the most prominent cities for industrial activity in the region. Hiring Vince to lead our Tijuana office is another investment that will create a strong presence in Tijuana that will enable us to further support our client’s strategic growth initiatives in this sector.”

Jones Lang LaSalle has operated in Mexico for the past 28 years. With its Mexico headquarters in Mexico City, the firm also operates out of Monterrey. The firm’s service offerings in Mexico include: Tenant and Landlord Representation, Consulting, Energy and Sustainability, Investment Sales and Acquisitions, Retail, Hotels, and Valuation Advisory.
