Six questions to prepare your campus for a hybrid work environment
Plan a future work environment that puts people first and enhances the bottom line.
After spending most of last year making sure faculty, staff and students were safe and productive while working remotely, or on campus, colleges and universities are now focused on what their administrative offices will look like in the future.
For many administrators, the future will involve some element of hybrid work. A mix of work done in the office or remotely is part of an ecosystem of solutions and services that supports work from anywhere. A JLL survey of 2,000 office workers found that in a post-pandemic world, 72 percent want to work from home two days per week, on average — more than twice as many as before the crisis. In addition, 66 percent want to alternate between different places of work, and 40 percent would like to be able to work from a third-party location such as a coffee shop or coworking space.
But what does that mean for your institution? Use these six questions to begin to define your hybrid workplace strategy.
