An event was held in the battery collection column in: Lincoln Park In Colonia Polanco, Mexico DF, where both teams, Lic. Luz María Piza, Director of Environmental Education of the Federal District Department of the Environment , Arnold Ricalde Advisor to the Commission for the Comprehensive Management of Solid Waste of the Federal District were present at the deposit of accumulated batteries in the main buildings: HSBC Tower, Tecnoparque and Toluca Exportec collecting a quantity of: 438kg.
The main purpose of this Project is based on the sustainable disposal under a permanent collection program for household batteries and cell phone batteries, linking the personal users of these buildings and preventing this type of waste from mixing with urban garbage.
Finally, the disposal of these batteries was made through the "Responsible Battery Management Program" of the Ministry of the Environment, which is part of the actions with which the real application of strategies is sought to protect the sanitary landfill and promote productive activities associated with the responsible management of solid waste, seeking at all times the cooperation and active participation of all sectors of society.
At this event, Lic. Luz María Piza, Director of Environmental Education of the Federal District Secretary of the Environment, gave awards to both teams. It only remains to say: "Thank you all for your cooperation in making this a reality."
